About the Company

A dynamic, award-winning architecture studio is seeking a motivated and experienced Architect to join its central Cardiff team. In this role, you will lead full-lifecycle construction projects across a broad and meaningful portfolio- spanning education, commercial, blue-light, and industrial sectors- while contributing to a collaborative, socially responsible practice that champions innovation, integrity, and sustainable design.

Daily Duties

  • Lead the design and delivery of architectural projects from concept through to completion
  • Manage project teams, coordinating internal staff and external consultants to achieve high-quality results
  • Produce technical drawings, construction documentation, and detailed design information
  • Develop architectural models and design proposals using Revit
  • Work confidently with a variety of procurement methods, including traditional and design & build
  • Guide projects throughout the RIBA Plan of Work stages, ideally from inception to contract administration
  • Ensure all project work complies with relevant legislation, contracts, building codes, and building regulations

Ideal Candidate

  • Several years of post-qualification experience, including leadership responsibilities on architectural projects
  • Strong design skills supported by robust technical knowledge of construction and detailing
  • Proficient in Revit with good BIM awareness
  • Experience delivering projects via both traditional and design & build procurement routes
  • Excellent client-facing abilities and strong commercial awareness
  • A collaborative team player with proven motivation, delegation, and people-management skills
  • Ideally experienced across all RIBA Plan of Work stages
  • In-depth understanding of regulations, contracts, and industry standards
