Recruit UK is looking for a Paraplanner to join a thriving IFA firm based in Cardiff. This firm offers a wide range of retirement, investment, IHT and business protectin solutions to their loyal clients. They are committed to providing a high standard of best practie and a level of excellence within their independent financial advice. This role is within the Wealth arm of an accountancy firm with clients across South Wales.

Role Overview

As a Paraplanner, you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with the Financial Adviser, ensuring the quality of service is maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Whole of market research, suitability reports, data gathering, liaising with providers and analysis of existing arrangements.
• Ability to prioritise workload and completion within specific timescales/deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good spelling and grammar.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: You must have a minimum of 2 years Paraplanning work experience in an independent financial advice practice.
• Advanced pensions experience is preferred as a key element of our business is advising on pre, at and post retirement planning; including drawdown, pension switching, SIPPs and SSAS.
• You should ideally have a good working knowledge of Iress XPLAN, Defaqto Engage, CashCalc, Assureweb, O&M Pension Profiler and ATEB Suitability, plus Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
• Qualifications: You will already hold an appropriate financial planning Diploma Level 4 or other Paraplanning qualification plus minimum GCSE grades A-C/1-3 in Mathematics and English.
