Position: Business Development/Commercial Manager

Location: Cardiff

Hours: Monday – Friday 09:00-17:00

Salary: £50k plus, depending on experience

We are actively seeking a motivated and results-driven professional with demonstrated expertise in air and sea sales operations. The primary objective of this position is to provide personalised and reliable transportation and logistics solutions via air and sea. This will be accomplished by identifying and establishing new business opportunities that align with air and sea activities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and cultivate leads and objectives through telephone and/or email campaigns.
  • Proactively pursue new business opportunities to achieve Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for ocean and air freight services.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with shippers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.
  • Identify emerging business opportunities and enhance market share.
  • Consistently meet and surpass sales targets within a competitive industry landscape.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid and unblemished United Kingdom Driving Licence 
  • Proven experience within the Freight sector, particularly in both Air and Sea transport 
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation capabilities 
  • Highly self-motivated, demonstrating the ability to operate independently and collaboratively within a team setting 
  • Results-driven, with a steadfast commitment to achieving and surpassing objectives 
  • Well-established network within the logistics and shipping industry in the Southwest region
