Billings Team Leader (Transactional Services)£38,000-£40,000Cardiff (hybrid)PermanentWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join our client's billing services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring stakeholders receive an accurate and professional billing service, while engaging, building trust, and networking at all levels. As the first line of escalation for clients and colleagues, you will drive accuracy standards across the team and manage a group of billing coordinators and assistants. Your role will also involve providing technical expertise and on-the-job training for team members, managing stakeholder relationships, and identifying efficiencies for future ways of working.Key Responsibilities:

  • Adapt to changes and improve processes.
  • Manage your team in-person and remotely.
  • Monitor billing estimates and support targets.
  • Ensure smooth billing by gathering necessary information.
  • Distribute workloads fairly and support clients.
  • Address stakeholder issues promptly.
  • Follow and improve procedures.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and identify training needs.
  • Collaborate with other leaders for consistency.
  • Foster a trusting and communicative environment.
  • Train new team members.

Skills and Experience:

  • Established transactional background in Accounts Payable/Purchase Ledger or Receivables/Sales Ledger
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven team management experience.
  • Experience with complex billing processes.
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Effective stakeholder management.
  • Ability to identify and solve issues.
