Head4Talent are currently working with a tech start up based in Cardiff that are looking to hire a Finance Manager.

Salary c£50-55K + Bonus + Equity

Hybrid 3 days week in the office.

The business has show exceptional growth and is about to receive additional investment in the coming months which will help with the expansion of the business. Role with report into the CEO with the opportunity to grow into an FC role.

This role goes beyond day-to-day financial tasks; you will be pivotal in designing and refining financial strategies that improve efficiency, accuracy, and help shape decision-making processes.

Duties Include

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Assist in budget preparation and periodic forecasting to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Provide financial insights that shape pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and revenue projections.
  • Analyse market trends and client requirements to refine financial models for new and existing services.
  • Evaluate current financial processes and propose enhancements to boost accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
  • Implement and maintain best practices in accounting, financial control, and compliance.
  • Work closely with external accountants or auditors on statutory filings, tax returns, and year-end audits.

Experience

  • Part qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Proven ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholder
  • Commercially astute, with a proactive mindset and a drive for continuous improvement
  • Strong IT and data analysis skills, including financial modelling experience
  • Experience working in the finance function of a medium-to-large organisation
