Finishing Manager - Immediate Start (3-Month Contract)

We are currently seeking a Finishing Manager with a strong trades background to join a prestigious high-rise residential new build project in Cardiff. This is a key site-based role for a 3-month contract, ideal for someone with a sharp eye for detail and a hands-on approach to quality control.
Role Overview:
You'll be responsible for overseeing the final stages of internal works across multiple units, ensuring high standards of finish, managing snagging lists, and pushing for a smooth handover. This role will suit a Finishing Manager with a solid background in trades such as carpentry, drylining, or painting & decorating.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and inspect final fix and finishing works (decoration, joinery, floor finishes, snagging, etc.)
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards before handover
- Maintain progress in line with programme deadlines
- Liaise with internal teams and subcontractors to resolve defects swiftly
- Report to the Site Manager and contribute to quality control meetings
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Finishing Manager or Supervisor on residential or high-rise developments
- Strong trades background (carpentry, decorating, etc.) with a keen eye for detail
- Confident managing snagging, inspections, and handover stages
- CSCS card required; SSSTS or SMSTS desirable
- Immediately available and able to work full-time in Cardiff
