I'm looking for an experienced and driven General Manager to lead the team at renowned competitive socialising venue in Cardiff. This is a unique opportunity to step into a fast-paced, high-volume environment and play a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience, team culture, and commercial performance of one of the city's most exciting hospitality destinations.

You will act as the strategic and operational leader of the venue. As the face of the business, you will lead with confidence, clarity, and deep operational knowledge across all departments-from front of house and kitchen to compliance and finance. The focus will be on delivering exceptional service, building a high-performing team, and driving strong commercial results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations with a focus on quality and efficiency
  • Leading recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing team development
  • Creating a strong and positive team culture that delivers outstanding guest experiences
  • Managing financial performance including P&L, labour targets, and cost control
  • Ensuring full compliance with licensing, health and safety, and operational standards
  • Overseeing stock control and managing supplier relationships
  • Setting clear business targets and holding the team accountable for delivery
  • Acting as the key liaison with internal stakeholders and external partners

You:

  • Previous experience as a General Manager in a high-volume hospitality or leisure venue
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience with full financial accountability
  • A proven track record of building, leading, and motivating successful teams
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Operational oversight including compliance, stock management, and rota planning
  • A valid personal licence (essential)
