A Payroll Implementation Manager is needed to lead global payroll projects, starting in Europe, for a Life Sciences client. This key role ensures smooth financial operations, overseeing all aspects of payroll implementation within Accounting & Finance. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in payroll and time & attendance systems, along with excellent project management and leadership skills.

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of payroll implementation
  • Ensure payroll processes are in compliance with legal regulations
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets aligned with organisational goals.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance department to streamline operations
  • Implement payroll processing solutions for enhanced efficiency
  • Address any payroll-related issues and queries
  • Train team members on payroll system usage and updates
  • Monitor payroll system to ensure accurate and timely processing
  • Report on payroll operations to senior management

Profile

A successful Payroll Implementation Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Some experience/knowledge in how to manage global or outside UK payroll implementation projects.
  • Solid background in Accounting & Finance.
  • Excellent knowledge of payroll systems, processes, regulations and software (experience with Neeyamo is a plus, as is Workday).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail and high accuracy.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and cultures.
  • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality and compliance.
