We are currently recruiting on behalf of Vale of Glamorgan Council for an experienced Neighbourhood Manager to oversee housing management services across Penarth, Dinas Powys, Sully, and Palmerston (Barry), covering approximately 1,150 properties.

This is a busy and varied role requiring a proactive and experienced housing professional with a strong understanding of tenancy and estate management. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing general needs housing and two sheltered housing complexes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering a full range of housing management services across a mixed-tenure portfolio

  • Managing tenancies, resolving anti-social behaviour, and addressing tenancy breaches

  • Conducting estate inspections and maintaining strong community engagement

  • Liaising with internal teams and external agencies to support residents

  • Oversight of two sheltered housing schemes within the patch

Working Arrangements:

  • A minimum of 3 days per week on site, subject to workload

  • Office-based working on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which can be included in site-based days

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in neighbourhood or tenancy management within a social housing context

  • Strong knowledge of housing legislation and best practice

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage a varied workload across multiple locations
