Position: Long-Term Temporary Children's Support Worker
Hours: 37 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 8am-8pm, 2 days on, 3 days off (Guaranteed shifts each week)
Salary: 15 per hour
Location: Various locations across Cardiff
Start Date: Immediate start dates available
Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and experienced individuals to join our team as Long-Term Temporary Children's Support Workers. This role involves working alongside permanent council staff to provide support and care to children in residential settings. The position offers consistent, guaranteed shifts each week with opportunities for additional shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support and care to children in residential settings.
- Work collaboratively with permanent council staff.
- Respond to the needs of challenging young people.
- Maintain a safe and positive environment.
Requirements:
To apply for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Have experience working with challenging young people in residential settings.
- Be a UK driver with access to your own vehicle (desired).
- Be willing and able to commit to core shifts on a rolling rota that will need to be prioritised over any other work.
- Have experience of physical restraint. If you do not have this, you must be willing to undergo team teach training, which can be provided by Randstad.
