We are looking for a Software Engineer tfor a 6 month contract. In this role, you will play a key part in developing high-quality software solutions, focusing on performance, scalability, and accessibility. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to build innovative applications. Key Skills & Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer, you will:
- Be highly proficient in JavaScript, React, CSS, and Node.js
- Have a strong understanding of accessibility standards (a11y)
- Be experienced in optimising browser performance and writing efficient, high-performance code
- Thrive in fast-moving environments, managing multiple tasks and adapting to change
- Have hands-on experience with automated testing and TDD
- (Desirable) Have worked with video and multimedia technologies
- (Desirable) Have experience mentoring or coaching other developers
- Enjoy working collaboratively within a team environment
- Be eager to learn and contribute positively to the team's success
- Take ownership of technical documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer, ideally within media-related projects
- Strong knowledge of software development frameworks, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience providing mentorship and technical leadership
- Ability to work collaboratively and align development with business needs
- Familiarity with software development tools and emerging technologies
- A proactive, analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
