Job Description:

We are looking for a Software Engineer tfor a 6 month contract. In this role, you will play a key part in developing high-quality software solutions, focusing on performance, scalability, and accessibility. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to build innovative applications. Key Skills & Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer, you will:

  • Be highly proficient in JavaScript, React, CSS, and Node.js
  • Have a strong understanding of accessibility standards (a11y)
  • Be experienced in optimising browser performance and writing efficient, high-performance code
  • Thrive in fast-moving environments, managing multiple tasks and adapting to change
  • Have hands-on experience with automated testing and TDD
  • (Desirable) Have worked with video and multimedia technologies
  • (Desirable) Have experience mentoring or coaching other developers
  • Enjoy working collaboratively within a team environment
  • Be eager to learn and contribute positively to the team's success
  • Take ownership of technical documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer, ideally within media-related projects
  • Strong knowledge of software development frameworks, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience providing mentorship and technical leadership
  • Ability to work collaboratively and align development with business needs
  • Familiarity with software development tools and emerging technologies
  • A proactive, analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
