Recently the company has moved into private ownership and secured significant investment and growth capital to support further regional expansion. They are now recruiting for a permanent and full-time Purchase Ledger Clerk. You will assist in the maintenance of the purchase ledgers for the business, currently consisting of 4 trading legal entities, to ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, credits and payments, ensuring delivery of an effective and efficient finance support function for the business.Your new job as the Purchase Ledger Clerk:- Accurately code and post supplier invoices and credit notes using cloud based document capture software, as well as the Pegasus Opera accounts package.- Ensure a high level of accuracy in the input and coding of invoices and credit notes.- Match invoices to purchase orders, goods received notes, and other relevant transactional data.- Liaise with managers for the approval of supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with authorisation procedures and limits.- Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details.- Complete supplier statement reconciliations.- Communicate with suppliers to resolve any invoicing or payment queries.- Prepare suggested payment reports for BACS payments, ready for review and authorisation.- Prepare month-end purchase order accruals.- Meet agreed targets and deadlines for month-end close.- Ensure compliance with relevant finance policies and procedures in all activities.- Work closely and build strong relationships with the finance team, offering assistance where needed to ensure an effective and efficient service is provided throughout the finance team.- Work with managers and other stakeholders across the company to ensure the processing and payment of supplier invoices is effective.Experience, Qualifications, and Skills required to apply:- Proven work experience as a purchase ledger clerk or similar role- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data processing- Excellent communication skills- Accounting Technician qualification (AAT), level 3 or similar (not essential)- Knowledge of MS Excel and accounting softwareBenefits include:- 5% Employer pension contribution- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays- Opportunity to buy up to 5 days holiday- Cycle to Work Scheme- Employee Assistance Programme- Additional comprehensive health & wellbeing support- Life assuranceIf you are interested in this Purchase Ledger Clerk vacancy and you have the required experience, please contact Carl on Kenton Black Finance operate across the UK as a market leading recruitment partner, specialising in the attraction of finance talent across both permanent and interim requirements.
