Portfolio Payroll are working with a fast-paced, forward-thinking organisation based in the Barnsley area who are looking for a hands on Payroll Administrator to join their dynamic payroll team.

Working closely with the Payroll Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the payroll function for both weekly and monthly payrolls while ensuring all data and records are accurately maintained. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join a collaborative and supportive team within a business that values growth and development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing sickness, absence, holiday, and additional hours reporting
  • Handling employee wage queries in line with agreed SLAs
  • Maintaining and updating payroll trackers and personnel records
  • Supporting payroll checking processes and post-payroll issue resolution
  • Ensuring all time and attendance data is accurately maintained
  • Supporting with statutory payments including SMP, SSP, and SPP
  • Generating payroll-related reports and statistics
  • Promoting employee engagement and clear communication across the team
