Are you a reliable, hands-on individual with a keen eye for detail? We are seeking a dedicated Premises Assistant (Caretaker) to help maintain our school's buildings and grounds, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
This is a term long - across two schools in Wallington/ Carhsalton.
Opportunity for long term role for the correct canidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs across the premises.
Ensure the school is safe, secure, and well-maintained at all times.
Open and close the school buildings as required.
Oversee the maintenance of heating, lighting, and security systems.
Support health and safety procedures, including regular checks and compliance.
Liaise with contractors and assist with deliveries.
What We're Looking For:
A practical, proactive approach to problem-solving.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic DIY/maintenance knowledge (painting, minor repairs, basic plumbing).
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Willingness to work flexibly (some early mornings, evenings, or weekends may be required).
