About the CompanyWe are a dynamic SME operating within the mechanical engineering sector, comprising a group of companies delivering high-quality engineering solutions. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a hands-on and experienced Sole Finance Manager to take full ownership of our finance function.

Role OverviewAs the Sole Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations across the group. This is a standalone role, ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy and is confident managing all aspects of finance within an SME environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesFull responsibility for day-to-day bookkeeping and management accounts using XeroPreparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports for the groupProcessing monthly payroll for 15 permanent staffManaging monthly payments for 10 subcontractors, including CIS returnsBank reconciliations, VAT returns, and cash flow forecastingLiaising with external accountants and auditorsSupporting the Directors with financial planning and analysisEnsuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and deadlines

RequirementsProven experience in a similar finance role, ideally within an SMEStrong working knowledge of XeroExperience with payroll processing and CIS returnsExcellent attention to detail and ability to work independentlyStrong communication and organisational skillsAAT qualified or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
