This successful candidate will manage the company’s internal communications. This role is responsible for implementing the internal communications strategy as directed by the Head of Marketing and Communications, to support the achievement of company objectives including helping to instil desired mindsets with employees, improve staff engagement and connection to the company’s culture.The role is responsible for creating and distributing informative content including company news, announcements and letters; being responsive to and supporting all areas of the business with communicating their news and developments to other employees; having ownership and oversight of internal communications digital platforms; coordinating unique and regular employee events and gatherings.  The goal is to ensure all staff members are informed about internal events, updates, and company goals, promoting a transparent and unified working culture.Internal Communications LeadJob Description
  • Ensure our staff are well informed and engaged in a timely and appropriate manner as directed by Head of Marketing and Communications.
  • Supporting the Head of Marketing and Communications in maintaining the integrity of, and evolving when and where necessary, the Culture and Values.
  • Content Creation: Write, edit, and manage the production of company publications such as newsletters, emails, announcements, and intranet updates.
  • Message Consistency: Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages and company strategies.
  • Platform oversight: Plan and manage posting on company intranet sites.
  • Support with innovative communication tools, methods and ideas to improve our employee engagement.
  • Crisis Communication: Implement our crisis communication plans to manage, reassure, update and support colleagues during periods of uncertainty and change.
  • Employee Engagement: Organise town hall meetings, Q&A sessions, and other internal events to enhance employee engagement.
  • Feedback Monitoring: Monitor staff feedback and adjust communications content accordingly.
  • Liaise with all local communications teams including RAF, MOD, industry
  • Executive Leadership Team Support: Provide communication support and coaching to top executives and management as needed.
Internal Communications LeadEssential Qualifications / Experience / Skills
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in internal communications
  • Experience in a military / defence / airline environment would be advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Some design capability (PowerPoint and Canva proficiency)
