Role: Tool Store Warehouse Operative

About the Company:
The clients team at RAF Brize Norton plays a critical role in supporting the Royal Air Forces C-17 fleet. We are seeking a temporary contractor to join this fast-paced environment, providing essential tooling and supply chain operations on-site at the Main Operating Base (MOB). This position is integral to ensuring the continued readiness and effectiveness of RAF operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various military and logistics systems including GOLDEsp, WoW, MJDI, PUBLOG, Haystack, and C-17 Technical Orders for inventory and cargo tracking.
- Issue, receive, and inspect high volumes of tools, test equipment, and FLAP (Fuels, Lubricants and Associated Products).
- Conduct full tool inventory checks at the start and end of each shift, ensuring serviceability and replacing items as necessary.
- Replenish consumable items and manage tool loans across other units at RAF Brize Norton.
- Support maintenance teams through part issuance and in-person assistance.
- Oversee the distribution and control of PPE and uniforms.
- Manage physical inventory through regular stocktakes, shelf-life assessments, scrapping processes, and resolution of inventory discrepancies.
- Handle RAF-owned and C-17-specific materials, including repairable items, consumables, and hazardous goods.
- Track part requisitions and status updates, and initiate repair processes for serviceable assets.
- Perform delivery and collection duties within the site using a company van.
- Assist with quality and safety audits conducted by Boeing, the customer, and regulatory authorities.
Essential Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (must meet UK residency requirements).
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and practising safe manual handling procedures.
- Valid forklift licences (counterbalance and reach truck).
- Ideally, working knowledge of military logistics systems and supply chain processes including MILSTRIP and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
- Understanding of COSHH regulations and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) implications on airworthiness.
- Familiarity with RAF engineering protocols such as the Manual of Airworthiness Maintenance Procedures and Aviation Engineering Standing Orders.
Additional Information:
- This is an on-site, customer-facing position with a shift-based schedule, attracting an additional shift allowance.
- Shift pattern rotates weekly in a two weekly pattern: 1 week early, 1 week late
