Our client, a long established manufacturing company based in the Medway Towns, are currently recruiting a Quality Control Inspector on a permanent basis.

Working with the Quality Control team, you will report to the Quality Control Manager and be responsible for monitoring, measurement, analysis, customer complaint investigations and improvement of processes, ensuring their products meet the high standards expected. You will also be responsible for conducting regular internal audits.

The hours of work are 8.00am to 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday, 8.00am to 3.30pm on Fridays.

Duties for this role will include, however will not be limited to:

  • Monitoring quality during production ensuring that any observed issues are raised and documented
  • Monitoring the production floor ensuring that any other issues observed are raised and reported
  • Auditing pallets prior to dispatch, to ensure they conform to specification and customer requirements
  • Investigating customer complaints and assisting in the implementation of corrective and preventative actions where required
  • Issuing one point lessons and holding tool box talks as and when required
  • Arranging and carrying out meetings as and when required to report any new initiatives, problems, KPI results & customer complaints
  • Auditing print and conversion first offs in accordance with the company procedure
  • Carrying out continuous improvement projects as and when required
  • Assisting with appropriate risk assessments where necessary
  • Representing our client on any business needs that is deemed necessary to ensure good relations between the departments and customers, internal & external

For this role, you will have previous experience in a production environment, excellent communication skills, the ability to work within a team and under pressure, and an accurate, organised and efficient way of working.
