About the School: Supply Desk are working with an Ofsted rated "Good" mixed Primary School located in the Chatham area. They cater to pupils aged 5 to 11 years, with approximately 400 children on roll in total. Their Senior Leadership Team (SLT) is committed to upholding the school's values and providing a nurturing environment for both staff and pupils.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • QTS
  • DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
  • Experience with special educational needs (SEND) is an asset, demonstrating a commitment to inclusive education
  • Proven ability to create engaging and impactful lesson plans that capture children’s interest and promote deep understanding
  • Strong grasp of the pedagogy for teaching and learning in Upper Key Stage 2 and an excellent understanding of child development
  • Embraces the school’s vision and values
  • Passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people, inspiring and motivating them to achieve their potential
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills, ensuring a well-structured and efficient educational environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct precise assessments of pupils as required by external bodies and school policies
  • Plan and deliver well structured and engaging lessons that are in line with children’s learning targets
  • Utilise diverse and stimulating teaching methods that cater to the varied needs and demands of pupils
  • Demonstrate expertise in managing challenging behaviour, establishing appropriate boundaries while recognising the potential in all pupils
  • Foster good practices in punctuality, work standards, and home learning among pupils
