Abatec are currently recruiting a CNC Machinist for our client in Cheddar. This role is a Permanent role with ongoing career progression opportunities, you will undertake machining works as directed by the department manager.
- Monday to Friday
- 08.00 - 17.00 (40-hour paid week)
- Overtime available paid at 1.5
- Additional call-out rate available

Key Duties:
- Set up and operate manual & CNC milling and turning machines
- Machine parts from drawings or samples
- Select tooling, speeds, and feeds
- Carry out one-off and batch work
- Inspect components using precision measuring tools
- Repair shafts and journals
- Maintain machines and safe working practices
Requirements:
- Proven machining experience (milling & turning essential)
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Knowledge of machining tolerances, speeds, and feeds
- Experience with ferrous & non-ferrous materials
- CNC experience advantageous
- On-call/rota availability
