Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum
Location: Chelmsford
Working Pattern: 4 days office-based, 1 day WFH per week
Role Overview:
SRM are seeking a motivated Group Financial Accountant who is near the end of their studies and aiming to qualify within the next 12 months. This role offers exposure across financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and audits, with excellent support to complete your accounting qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support month-end management accounts and posting of journals
- Assist with consolidation of regional submissions and supplementary schedules
- Support the annual budget and audit processes
- Prepare short-term cash flow forecasts and monthly VAT returns
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly Board Packs
- Support treasury management and payroll submission processes
- Contribute to process improvements and ad-hoc tasks as required
Skills & Experience:
- Part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), aiming to qualify within 12 months
- Strong bookkeeping and technical accounting knowledge
- Attention to detail and excellent Excel skills
- Driven, self-starter with excellent communication skills
