Newly Qualified Group Financial Accountant

Working Pattern: 4 days office-based, 1 day WFH per week

Benefits: £6,000 car allowance, bonus plus benefits

Role Overview:

SRM are looking for a Qualified Group Financial Accountant to take responsibility for group-wide financial reporting, consolidation, audits, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. This is a senior role within a collaborative finance team, offering exposure to all areas of finance in a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare consolidated long-term profit and cash-flow forecasts
  • Consolidate regional monthly submissions and supplementary schedules
  • Lead annual audit processes and ensure timely responses
  • Prepare annual report financial statements and back-half submissions
  • Support budgeting, month-end reporting, and cash-flow forecasting
  • Prepare group VAT returns and assist with payroll submissions
  • Contribute to treasury management and internal controls
  • Prepare quarterly Board Packs and other ad-hoc finance reports

Skills & Experience:

  • Newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Strong technical accounting and consolidation experience
  • Excellent Excel and financial reporting skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Attention to detail, strong communication, and a collaborative approach
  • Property/Construction/Housebuilding experience desirable but not essential
