Noble Recruiting are currently recruiting a confident and experienced Commercial Operations Specialist to join our friendly and proactive Client in Chelmsford, Essex.

Our client is currently seeking a Commercial Operations Specialist who possess both operational Freight Forwarding experience and a commercial mindset. You will handle all freight operations whilst contributing to business development and sales efforts.
Your responsibilities include:
- Manage sea freight import and export operations efficiently
- Support and contribute to commercial sales efforts to help grow the business
- Handle import customs clearance procedures
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth freight operations
- Utilize and manage in-house forwarding software (Multifreight experience advantageous)
- Ensure compliance with relevant shipping regulations and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships
- Collaborate with the team to develop and enhance office operations
You will need:
- At least 3 years of experience in sea freight operations (import & export) - LCL & FCL
- Experience in additional trade lanes such as air freight is a plus
- Knowledge of import customs clearance procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
- Experience with CNS & Destin8
- Strong numerical, literacy, and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to office development
