Noble Recruiting are currently recruiting a confident and experienced Commercial Operations Specialist to join our friendly and proactive Client in Chelmsford, Essex.

Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Our client is currently seeking a Commercial Operations Specialist who possess both operational Freight Forwarding experience and a commercial mindset. You will handle all freight operations whilst contributing to business development and sales efforts.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Manage sea freight import and export operations efficiently
  • Support and contribute to commercial sales efforts to help grow the business
  • Handle import customs clearance procedures
  • Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth freight operations
  • Utilize and manage in-house forwarding software (Multifreight experience advantageous)
  • Ensure compliance with relevant shipping regulations and company policies
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and enhance office operations

You will need:

  • At least 3 years of experience in sea freight operations (import & export) - LCL & FCL
  • Experience in additional trade lanes such as air freight is a plus
  • Knowledge of import customs clearance procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Experience with CNS & Destin8
  • Strong numerical, literacy, and communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to office development
