My client is a local council looking to add an Interim Communications Officer to the team.
Description
The successful Interim Communications Officer will have the following responsibilities:
- Support the development and delivery of key organisational messages and campaigns for external and internal audiences, embedding digital communications in everything we do
- Ensure the use of the council's corporate identity and ensure correct use by all council staff and partners
- Offer support to all services in the council to ensure excellent standards for all campaigns and communications
- Take complex messages and translate them into readable and engaging copy and ensure consistency and accuracy of messages
- Make best use of digital communication including social media to engage residents, promote stories and raise the profile of the council.
Profile
The successful Interim Communications Officer will have:
- Demonstrable experience in a similar communications role - you will be a true communications all-rounder!
- Experience within local government - ideally working with councils - essential
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to hit the ground running!
Job Offer
Short term contract - 18.14 per hour
Essex based - twice a week in the office.
