Are you an experienced Production Engineer or Production Manager with a strong background in electronics manufacturing? Do you have hands-on experience with SMT (Surface Mount Technology) machinery and a passion for driving production excellence?

We are working with a well-established electronics contract manufacturer in North Essex seeking a skilled and proactive individual to lead and optimise their production operations across all departments. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage daily production activities, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met.
  • Set up and maintain SMT production lines, including programming and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve workflow and resolve technical issues.
  • Lead and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor KPIs and drive initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a production engineering or management role within electronics manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of SMT machinery and processes.
  • Ability to set up SMT lines and create effective SOPs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities.
