SEN Teacher

Are you a passionate and resilient teacher committed to making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? Remedy are working with a vibrant and nurturing SEN school in Essex who are seeking a skilled and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their dedicated team.

This school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment for children and young people with a range of complex needs, including ASD , ASD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. We pride ourselves on our holistic approach, small class sizes, strong staff collaboration, and therapeutic ethos.

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver creative, personalised and engaging lessons tailored to meet individual EHCP targets
  • Lead a class of pupils with the support of experienced Learning Support Assistants
  • Create a safe, supportive, and structured environment where every learner can thrive
  • Work collaboratively with therapists, parents/carers, and the wider school community
  • Monitor, assess and record progress, ensuring each child is supported in reaching their full potential

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
  • Experience working with pupils with SEN (e.g., ASC, MLD, SEMH, PMLD) - in a mainstream or special setting
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing, person-centred approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Creativity, patience, and a positive attitude
