Are you an experienced sous chef with a passion for creating flavourful and innovative dishes? Our client, a Cotswold country Pub with rooms, is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join their team. The pub is part of a nationwide group, offering the chance to travel to their other sites for learning and progression opportunities! As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen and deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Sous Chef Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations and meeting quality and safety standards.

Oversee food preparation and ensure timely and accurate delivery of meals.

Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and recipes.

Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards and efficiency.

Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies and ingredients.

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following proper food handling and sanitation guidelines.

Coordinate with servers and other staff to ensure smooth operation during service.

Requirements

Experience working in high quality, similar sized kitchens at a Sous Chef Level.

Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality.

Proven ability to work well in a team environment.

Knowledge of menu planning and recipe development.
