Our client based in Cheltenham are on an exciting journey to achieve an annual turnover of £100m and beyond! They are currently recruiting for a Part Time HR Administrator to join the team on a 12-month maternity cover basis. This role is 30 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, with adaptable start and finish times to fit your lifestyle as well as hybrid working only 1 day in the office per week. As they are a growing organisation there is a strong possibility of other suitable positions being made available within the company. They are also very happy to fund Level 3 CIPD if desired!
You’ll be at the heart of ensuring that the company is a fantastic place to work, providing top-tier administrative support across the entire employee lifecycle. From onboarding new team members to supporting recruitment and payroll, you’ll be an essential part of the People team that supports over 300 team members. You will also have the opportunity to work on value added and business transformational projects.
Responsibilities:
- Create and send new starter packs and contracts of employment
- Own the new starter onboarding, offboarding and cross boarding process i.e. ensure induction schedules are complete, equipment has been returned and all tasks are completed.
- Conduct pre-employment screening checks e.g. referencing, proof of right to work in the UK, DBS and credit checks.
- Process changes to employment, resignations and family leave.
- Manage the HR, recruitment and payroll inboxes; being the first point of contact for the team.
- Conducting 6 week new starter catch ups.
- Provide line managers and team members with clear guidance and advice to ensure compliance with both Company policies and relevant legislation, whilst ensuring all records are maintained and accurate.
- Recruitment administration i.e. assist hiring managers with the recruitment process, including shortlisting candidates and scheduling interviews, ensure interview notes are accurately completed and securely saved.
- Collate monthly payroll information (i.e. new starters, leavers, changes, expenses, mileage etc) and input onto the payroll spreadsheet.
- Work on departmental initiatives such as Learning Days, Menopause Champions, employee wellbeing initiatives etc.
- Create and post engaging internal and external company announcements i.e. weekly internal vacancies, HR updates, company initiatives on our social media platforms i.e. LinkedIn, Facebook etc.
To apply you will need to have previous administration experience, previous experience with recruitment or HR would be desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
