A highly respected and well-established law firm in Cheltenahm is seeking a dedicated Legal Secretary to join a busy Property department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous property experience, although full training and support will be provided for candidates who have the enthusiasm to learn and the ability to work within legal guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

As a Legal Secretary in the Property team, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing, formatting, and proofreading legal documents and correspondence.
  • Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.
  • Handling incoming calls, emails, and general client correspondence.
  • Assisting fee-earners with case management and maintaining accurate records.
  • Opening, closing, and archiving files in line with legal compliance requirements.
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors.
  • Processing and managing property searches and Land Registry applications.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring all work meets firm and legal standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • Property experience as a legal secretary is desirable but not essential – training will be provided.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and support colleagues.
  • Proficient IT skills.
