About the Psychology Graduate TA Role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll be based in the classroom supporting children aged 5-16. You'll help create a safe and nurturing environment where students can build emotional resilience, develop social skills, and access their learning more effectively.
You'll work closely with class teachers, therapists, and other professionals, gaining exposure to a variety of strategies and interventions used in SEN and mental health support.
Key Responsibilities of the Psychology Graduate TA:
- Provide day-to-day classroom support for students with Autism and SEMH needs
- Assist with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social communication
- Support children 1:1 and in small groups to boost confidence and engagement
- Help deliver personalised interventions under the guidance of specialists
- Promote a calm, positive and inclusive learning environment
