Our client based in Chepstow is looking for HGV Class 2 driver to go on contract. Work is Monday till Friday with no bank holidays or weekends. Usually between 0630 until 1530.
Company delivers metal products which are offloaded on sites, sometimes you would deliver to a private address but 90% of the time there is no handball involved. Usually number of drops ranges between 5 and 15, depending on the day. Client uses twin decks and flat beds; all curtainsiders or sheets.
Apart from hours pay there is a pallet collection scheme in place where the driver gets paid 1 per collected pallet - most times this works out between 300 and 400 monthly on top of wages and there also is a Profit Share scheme available.
Ideal driver for the role will:
- Have at least 6 months experience driving a Class 2 vehicle (but this is negotiable)
- Have a positive attitude
- Have no more than 6 points on full UK licence (depending on code)
- Have valid CPC and Tacho cards
- Be happy with any occasional manual work if needed
Contract is based on 45 hours a week. Immediate starts available following a successful interview.
