Pupil Engagement Officer – Chepstow
Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them succeed both in school and in the community? Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated Pupil Engagement Officer to join a dynamic specialist education service in Chepstow, working with pupils who have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
This rewarding role involves supporting children and young people who are unable to attend mainstream school. You’ll help pupils rebuild confidence, improve attendance, and rediscover a love of learning through positive relationships, tailored support, and engaging activities.
Role details
Location: Chepstow
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (no weekends)
Pay: £444.60 to £624.90 per week
Full-time and part-time roles available
You will need a driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as the role involves travel between school and community sites. Travel expenses are covered.

Key responsibilities
Work closely with pupils with SEMH needs to increase engagement and attendance
Develop positive, trusting relationships to support personal, social, and academic development
Deliver one-to-one or small group interventions tailored to individual needs
Work across school and community settings to promote inclusion and wellbeing
Support pupils to build confidence, resilience, and motivation for learning
Who we’re looking for
Passionate about supporting young people and improving outcomes for pupils with SEMH needs
Patient, empathetic, and able to build strong, positive relationships
Energetic, adaptable, and proactive in responding to individual pupil needs
Experience in education, youth work, or social care is desirable but not essential
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
