We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our team and assist in maintaining accurate financial records. If you have a flair for numbers and thrive in organised settings, this role could be ideal for you.
Day-to-day of the role:- Match purchase invoices with orders and delivery notes.
- Enter invoice details and scan them into Xero.
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of all supplier statements.
- Assist our Commercial Director and Financial Controller with invoice authorisations.
- Manage the payment of invoices via BACS or cheque.
- File invoices and statements.
- Handle queries from suppliers.
- Monitor utility bill authorisations.
- Process staff expenses and prepare them for manager approval.
- Take responsibility for credit control for various client invoices and payments.
- Ensure all supplier charges are accurate.
- Comfortable in an office environment with a systematic approach to tasks.
- Some knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping; keen to enhance these skills.
- Working towards an AAT certificate or a similar qualification is ideal.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and capable of managing communications effectively.
- Highly organised and able to manage your workload efficiently, with the ability to establish your own processes.
