The Role:Bookkeeper required for a reputable chartered accountants in Chester Business Park. The role will involve maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilitiesof the Bookkeeper:

  • Maintain and update financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies as they arise.
  • Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Preparation of Quarterly VAT Returns
  • Communication with clients, to request documents and statements.
  • Performing day-to-day bank and ledger reconciliations

Requirements of the Bookkeeper:

  • Previous experience in accounting or finance roles preferred.
  • Knowledge of various software including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
