Position: Senior Air Quality Consultant
Location: Chester
Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 + Excellent Benefits
Are you an experienced Air Quality professional looking to advance your career? A respected environmental consultancy is seeking a Senior Air Quality Consultant to join its growing team in Chester. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior role in a vibrant office, delivering high-quality projects across the region and beyond.
About the Role
Based in Chester, you'll lead a variety of air quality assessments, dispersion modelling, and regulatory compliance projects. Working closely with developers, planners, and local authorities, you'll play a key part in supporting sustainable development while helping to expand the consultancy's reputation across Chester and the North West.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and deliver complex air quality consultancy projects from the Chester office
Undertake detailed dispersion modelling and review technical assessments
Produce accurate reports, Environmental Statement chapters, and client presentations
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Mentor and guide junior team members within the Chester team
Contribute to business development, proposals, and client engagement
About You
Minimum 4 years' experience in air quality consultancy or a regulatory setting
Proficient in ADMS and AERMOD, with strong understanding of IAQM/EPUK guidance
Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geography, or a related field
Chartered (CEnv/IAQM) or actively working towards professional accreditation (preferred)
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
Full UK driving licence
