Deeside | £50,500 per annum | 2 Days / 2 Nights / 4 Off – 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm / 7pm–7am)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Shift Engineer to join a busy and well-established food manufacturing site in Deeside. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you’ll be responsible for ensuring all production machinery runs efficiently, with a balance of planned and reactive maintenance.
This position would suit a multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes pride in keeping production moving.
The Role:-
Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a wide range of production machinery

Support continuous improvement initiatives and help drive equipment reliability

Work efficiently to prioritise breakdowns and maintain minimal downtime

Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed safely and in line with hygiene standards
Machinery includes:
Bag filling and vacuum sealers, chillers and conclaves, weighing and detection systems, conveyors, printers, and handling equipment.

Time-served, Level 3-qualified engineer (electrical bias preferred)

Proven experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or FMCG environment

Confident working across mechanical and electrical systems (bearings, belts, chains, control panels, motors, sensors, etc.)

Self-motivated, proactive, and able to “hit the ground running”

Strong teamwork skills with a focus on quality and reliability

Salary: £50,500 per annum

Shift pattern: 2 days / 2 nights / 4 off (42 hours per week)
