Graduate Town Planner | Assistant Town Planner

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a respected planning consultancy in Chester, seeking Junior, Graduate, and Consultant-level Planners to join their growing team.

What you'll do:
You'll work across a diverse portfolio of projects, supporting senior staff and managing smaller applications, preparing reports, planning submissions, and liaising with clients and stakeholders. You'll take responsibility for smaller projects from start to finish, develop creative solutions, and stay up to date with planning policy and practice.

Key tasks include:

  • Assisting senior staff to drive large projects forward
  • Managing smaller planning applications
  • Conducting research and analysis
  • Preparing planning appraisals and reports
  • Building strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and planning officers
  • Presenting at external events
