[School Name] is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive English department on a maternity cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering high-quality English language and literature lessons.
Key Responsibilities:-
Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons in line with the national curriculum.

Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for some Key Stage 5 depending on experience and need.

Monitor and assess student progress, providing effective feedback and support to ensure academic achievement.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for reading and writing.

Collaborate with colleagues in the English department to develop and share resources and best practices.

Participate in school events, meetings, and parent evenings as required.

Maintain high standards of behaviour, discipline, and safeguarding within the classroom and wider school community.
Essential:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

A degree in English or a related subject

Experience teaching English at secondary level

Strong classroom management and communication skills

A commitment to inclusive education and the wellbeing of all students
Desirable:

Experience teaching GCSE English Language and Literature

Familiarity with current educational trends and assessment frameworks

Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and whole-school initiatives
