Qualified Geography Teacher - Chester Area

Salary: 120 - 190 per day

About the Role:
Simply Education is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Geography Teachers to inspire students in schools across the Chester area. This is a fantastic opportunity for educators who are passionate about the world, the environment, and how people interact with their surroundings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Engaging Lessons: Teach well-planned, interactive Geography lessons that explore human and physical geography topics.
- Monitor Progress: Use formative and summative assessment methods to guide student development.
- Positive Classroom Environment: Maintain a safe, inclusive, and structured learning space.
- Differentiate Instruction: Adapt teaching strategies for students with SEN, EAL, and various learning styles.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other staff to share ideas, resources, and effective practices.
- Safeguarding: Promote and uphold student wellbeing and school safeguarding policies.
- CPD Participation: Engage in professional development to enhance subject knowledge and pedagogy.
Key Skills & Qualities:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of the national Geography curriculum and current world issues.
- Ability to inspire interest in environmental sustainability and global awareness.
- Adaptable teaching style to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Excellent classroom management skills and communication abilities.
- Empathy, patience, and commitment to inclusive education.
Essential Requirements:
- QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience delivering Geography lessons in accordance with the UK national curriculum.
- An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable:
- Experience preparing students for GCSE or A-Level Geography.
- Interest in using technology and GIS tools to enhance learning.
- Strong fieldwork knowledge and outdoor learning approaches.
