Personnel Solutions are looking for a dedicated and experienced Transportation Supervisor to oversee the logistics operations for our client in Markham Vale, S44. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing transportation activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimising delivery processes. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with various teams to ensure timely and efficient transportation services.

Duties

  • Supervise transportation operations, ensuring adherence to schedules and routes.
  • Manage a team of drivers and logistics personnel, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency in transportation processes.
  • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including deliveries, vehicle usage, and driver performance.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for staff on safety procedures and operational best practices.
  • Address any issues or concerns raised by team members or clients promptly.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Strong understanding of transport regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in using transport management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
