Mechanical Contracts Manager | Barlborough | Full Time | £62,000 Per Annum + vehicle allowance of £5200
Our client was established in 2007, initially operating as a turnkey mechanical and electrical (M&E) management contracting company. Of the original two founding board members, Charlie Strafford continues to lead the business and remains closely involved in its day-to-day operations. The leadership team has since expanded with the addition of Operations Directors Jim Watson and Andrew McCormick, alongside Commercial Director Ashley Beresford.

- Proven track record managing M&E projects from office to site.
- Skilled in procuring and managing specialist sub-contractors.
- Confident liaising with M&E designers and leading design meetings.
- Strong coordination with site teams to meet project needs.

- Capable of monitoring programs and ensuring deadlines are met.

What will your role look like?
- Plan and management of 1-2 project(s) including weekly site visits (approx. 50/50 split between Barlborough office and site time)
- Procurement of required specialist sub-contractors, including enquiry handling and tender reviewing of said sub-contractors in-line with section budgets
- Liaise with M&E designers, highlighting any issues/requirements, including attending relevant design meetings (organising any required meetings as needed also)
- Liaise with site team, ensuring site requirements are met
- Quantify and liaise with C&D QS, highlighting all relevant variations to the contract
- Program reviewing and monitoring, ensuring all targets are met
- Produce weekly site report collating relevant information from site-level M&E supervisors
- Value engineering of any available areas of works
- Quality control of materials and workmanship, including procurement of main plant items
