Conveyancing AssistantLocation: ChesterfieldSalary: up to £28,000 per annumContract: Full Time, PermanentThe successful candidate will be expected to provide support to Fee Earners within the department under supervision from the Head of Department. It is essential that applicants have a strong interest in working within a Conveyancing/Property department.Role Overview:

  • Providing key business support to a busy, fast-paced and reputable Conveyancing department.
  • Running and supporting with varied cases, from initial enquiry through to conclusion.
  • Supporting with the ongoing client files
  • Working directly with the Property Paralegals & Solicitors
  • Updating clients on their property progress
  • Setting up and updating client files via case management system
  • Checking and uploading documents, ID and client packs
  • Communicating with clients via phone and email
  • Handling calls, providing updates on existing files and dealing with any other enquiries.
  • Sending client feedback forms and questionnaires
  • Ensuring vetting, compliance and file management expectations are upheld
  • Issuing contracts to clients
  • Processing any payments
  • Supporting solicitors in the team and helping them manage their caseloads by dealing with specific delegated tasks.
  • Supporting solicitors dealing with Land registry applications. To include liaising with clients directly and the completion of court forms.
  • Updating clients on their property progress
  • Ensuring files are managed in compliance with the firms procedures (including checking and uploading documents, ID and client packs)
