We are working with an established manufacturing organisation in the Whitstable area who are looking to employ a Customer Service Coordinator permanently.

The role:

  • Processing of customer orders and quotations within set KPIs.
  • Establish strong customer relationships, to deliver excellent levels of customer service.
  • Prepare all customer quotations
  • Export compliance when processing quotations and orders.
  • Proactive quote follow up and negotiate where required.
  • Understanding of pricing, value and margin in order to win orders.
  • Liaise with Commercial Team, Product Group Managers, Procurement to build accurate pricing and lead times.
  • Progressing orders through to shipment
  • Proactive communication with the customer throughout the quotation and order life cycle.
  • Proactively review, investigate and escalate customer complaints
  • Acquire technical product experience to understand the product offer to process basic technical queries along with the ability to understand our products, competition products, and various specifications.
  • Assist with external sales requirements relating to Customer and ordering information.
  • Understand customer markets and ensure any market intelligence is passed on.
  • Identify new sales opportunities
  • To contact potential customers and present products and services to maximise sales.
  • To interface with clients and to support the Business Development Managers.
  • Cross-selling and up selling.

About you:

  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, Grade C or above.
  • Customer Service - customer enquiries, quotations, managing the order process and shipments, etc.
  • Experience interfacing between customers and other functions within the organisation to provide service to new and existing customers.
  • Experience building up new and existing relationships with customers.
  • PC literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
