Our client is seeking an Audit Senior to join the expanding audit team at the firms Chichester office. That said, there is potentially the opportunity to work from the firm’s Horsham office. This role would suit a qualified ACCA/ACA accountant or an exceptional part qualified candidate with a minimum of two years audit experience.

There will be the opportunity for the Audit Senior to work on a diverse portfolio of client of varying sizes and industries. Along with a competitive salary and benefits package, the firm offers hybrid working with two days per week WFH.

As Audit Senior your responsibilities will include:

  • Audit planning and completing audits for clients - leading a team of auditors
  • Leading and training audit juniors and reviewing their work - you will also work closely with managers and partners with running their portfolios to ensure all files are technically compliant
  • Running assignments and ensuring they are completed in a cost and time efficient manner
  • Supervising and coaching more junior team members on site
  • Controlling audit and accounts preparation undertaken by junior members of staff
  • Liaising with the client (HMRC) and client partner on work assignments
  • Ensuring audit procedures are followed meticulously
  • Exposure to compiling accounts
  • Drafting corporation and income tax computations

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or part qualified with a minimum of 2 years prior audit experience)
  • Statutory audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment
  • Knowledge of ISA and UK GAAP essential
  • Accounts compilation skills
  • Experience in drafting corporation tax computations
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in CaseWare desirable
