Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Property Pathway and Sustainability Officer for a local authority client in Chichester.

In this role, you will help refugee and migrant families secure safe, affordable housing and support them to build stable futures.

Duties:

  • Support families to secure and sustain safe, affordable housing across West Sussex.
  • Carry out affordability and housing assessments, offering practical advice and solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with landlords, estate agents, the Home Office, and local partners.
  • Prevent homelessness through creative interventions, income maximisation, and early support.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Background in housing services or a related property management field.
  • Strong knowledge of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and debt management.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable families and preventing temporary accommodation.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and managing risk within a caseload.

What's on offer:

Salary: £21+ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 5-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
