Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and supportive Teaching Assistant to join a busy secondary school in Chichester. This role involves working alongside teachers to support students aged 11 to 16 in their academic and personal development. You will help create a positive learning environment and assist with a range of classroom activities to ensure all students can achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons and activities

  • Support individual students or small groups with their learning

  • Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom resources

  • Monitor and support students’ social and emotional wellbeing

  • Support school events and extracurricular activities as required

Requirements:

  • Experience working with secondary school students is preferred but not essential

  • Patient, approachable, and able to build positive relationships with students

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Reliable and enthusiastic with a proactive attitude

  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare is advantageous but not mandatory
