Kiota Recruitment is selectively growing our client base, and we’re delighted to begin our first collaboration with a well-established Chichester engineering firm, recognised for creating bespoke, high-quality solutions for challenging sectors.

We’re recruiting a Senior Quality Engineer who lead quality assurance across all manufacturing projects, ensuring full compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.

Based on site, you’ll work hand-in-hand with design, fabrication, and project teams to ensure every product is delivered right first time.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

· Oversee production and project documentation control in line with BS EN ISO 9001:2015

· Assure incoming products for suitability, working closely with design and fabrication teams

· Manage quality assurance for pipework fabrication from drawings using SolidWorks 3D, including welder codes, WPQR, NDT, and technical drawing completion

· Plan and coordinate production programming, liaising with multiple departments

· Review designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and client specifications

· Coordinate technical developments, resolve design/test problems, and support commissioning activities

· Lead and document factory acceptance testing, resolving any findings promptly

· Produce accurate and detailed product quality packs before dispatch

· Carry out supplier audits and assessments, maintaining high standards across the supply chain

· Drive continuous improvement in quality processes and systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards

This role is central to ensuring their manufacturing operations continue to meet exacting industry standards, with a focus on precision, compliance, and continuous improvement.

From overseeing fabrication packs and coordinating factory acceptance testing, to conducting supplier audits and driving process improvements, you’ll be central to safeguarding and enhancing the company’s reputation for engineering excellence.

Skills & Experience Required:

· Experience in a similar Quality Engineering role within an engineering/manufacturing environment

· Solid understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards

· Auditor or Lead Auditor certification (preferred)

· Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks 3D advantageous

· Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure

· Knowledge of the petrochemical industry and ATEX requirements beneficial

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with internal teams, clients, and suppliers

· Formal qualifications from HNC/HND/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

· Competent user of Microsoft Office and engineering design software

· Valid UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
