Machine Operative - Cut Packhouse - CHICHESTER

Staffline is recruiting for Machine Operative - Cut Packhouse in Chichester.

As a Machine Operative, you'll be a vital part of the team that gets our freshly cut salads ready for the shelves for our client based in Chichester .

The rate of pay is £27,955.00 per annum.

This is full time role working 4 on 3 off shift pattern and the hours of work are:
- 6.30am to 3pm + one late shift

Your Time at Work
You'll be responsible for operating production machinery safely and efficiently, helping us deliver high-quality products to our customers every time.

Whether you've worked in food production before or you're ready to learn something new, if you're hands-on, reliable, and motivated, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing
- Operating cutting, weighing, or packing machinery safely and efficiently
- Following production plans and schedules to ensure smooth line operation
- Monitoring machine performance and reporting faults or breakdowns quickly
- Ensuring the right weights, labels, and product quality at all times
- Completing relevant paperwork and checks, including pre-start and end-of-run checks
- Assisting with line set-up and changeovers to minimise downtime
- Supporting hygiene and cleaning tasks in line with cleaning instruction cards (CICs)
- Following all health, safety, and food safety procedures
- Working closely with your team to hit daily targets and keep everything running smoothly
- Fast-paced and physical role, working as part of a team
- Involves standing, lifting, and operating machinery throughout the shift

- Previous experience in food production or FMCG (a bonus, but not essential)
