My client is currently recruiting for an additional Project Quantity Surveyor to work on an exciting Phased Industrial project.

Project Quantity Surveyor

Brighton

Up to 75k + Car Allowance plus packaged benefits

Permanent Role

The main duties as the Project Quantity Surveyor:

  • Mitigate risks across all duties, upholding company guidelines and contract terms, including proper documentation for all work packages
  • Secure optimal value by getting multiple quotes for domestic tasks and verifying that all supplier pricing aligns with detailed project inquiries
  • Manage finances diligently, precisely tracking liabilities, committing orders within set limits, and ensuring client invoices are submitted on time
  • Oversee payments effectively, carefully reviewing subcontractor invoices, approving payments promptly, resolving supplier payment issues, and chasing outstanding client payments
  • Leverage technical expertise, ensuring all project information and communications are well-organized and readily available for both audits and team access
  • Cultivate strong collaboration by communicating openly with site teams, senior commercial staff, suppliers, and the accounts department, always maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Finalize project accounts efficiently, submitting final statements and retention claims promptly, and working to keep project cash flow balanced
  • Drive continuous improvement, actively contributing to monthly cost reports, providing historical cost data for bids, seeking guidance from experienced colleagues, and identifying ways to enhance existing processes

Essential Criteria:

  • Understanding of various forms contracts
  • Degree qualified (Ideal not essential)
  • Being able to manage and report on large complex projects
  • A track record of successful procurement
  • Experience with COINS Commercial Software or similar would be an advantage
