My client, a small and vibrant primary school, is looking for an inspiring Year 6 Class Teacher to help a wonderful class of around 20 pupils take confident steps toward secondary school. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading a Year 6 class, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional progress to ensure they are secondary school ready.
  • Assessing, recording, and reporting on pupil achievement to staff and families.
  • Creating a safe, stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity and confidence.
  • Actively participating in school life—from extracurricular activities to curriculum planning and community engagement.
  • Serving as a subject leader, shaping school-wide teaching in your area of expertise.

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described.
  • Confident teaching in Year 6 with strong knowledge of KS2 SATs preparation.
  • Comfortable supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs using the 0-25 SEN Code of Practice.
  • Enthusiastic about small-school collaboration and community involvement.
  • Proactive and reflective, with a growth mindset and leadership potential.
